The modern workplace comprises overlapping systems, processes, workflows that are in place to support resilience, innovation, collaboration. Shifting work environments are presenting challenges and inviting opportunities. New tools like AI are further expanding capabilities.

With so many facets, these questions ground my work:

Who are we building for?
How do we work together?
How can we thrive at work?

The heart of these questions is also the heart of contemplative practices. Contemplative practices cultivate spaciousness. Spaciousness for consideration. Consideration of requirements, constraints, use cases, users, humans.

A multi-faceted approach of mind, body, breath, heart, & community is more effective than any single piece alone.

This portfolio contains my work that ranges from creative design & branding to technical enterprise UX to ethereal devotional chanting. Whatever I am working on, I bring all of me; as one is of the all and all is in the one.

Product, UX/UI Design

My design process involves letting go of how I think it’s supposed to go. Allowing research insights and collaborative feedback to shape the work, while balancing time & technical constraints.

Throughout my career, I’ve held various roles: as a developer writing and pushing code, to UX research, design, and prototyping. During my time at Everbridge, I worked within enterprise software development practices, on Incident Management and Integration Workflow use cases, learned to use tools like Figma and AI to refine design, and built design systems and artifacts that facilitate collaboration between design and engineering.

The following projects are a selection of my work on xMatters, service reliability platform.

xMatters Workflows Redesign

Requirements Gathering, Research Interviews, Data Analysis, Wireframing, ChatGPT, Figma, Dovetail

A key feature of xMatters, Workflows enables users to integrate with web services and automate tasks. This project encompassed the entire design cycle including: Research Interviews, Wireframing, Prototyping, Mock ups, and many iterations with AI input. It involved collaboration with different stakeholders & personas and consideration of legacy features.

xMatters Design System

Design Operations, Figma, Process Improvements

Best practice for designing software involves a design system that is often referenced and updated regularly. This enables designers and developers to reuse patterns and components, translating to more consistent UX. I was the lead designer in creating and maintaining the xMatters Design System. It involved gathering all the inconsistent patterns in the product, deciding which ones to use, deprecating the old, documenting and creating Figma components that can be reused.

xMatters Document Library

Figma, Component Design & Reuse

This project is an example of a feature I worked on while at xMatters. A feature like Document Library involves considering: user flows, reusable components, consistent patterns, and communicative collaboration to make it all happen. On top of it all, a big practice is being organized and thorough when working on these projects.

Document Library Flow

I use several AI tools in my everyday work. These tools augment my work as a designer including during: research, data analysis, wireframing, prototyping, project management, and more. I avoid it when drafting emails and writing social media posts. Beyond these applications, AI is a delightful mirror for self reflection, philosophical dialogue, and delving inward.

Tech Work Experience

Everbridge, xMatters • Senior Product Designer

Beyond these roles, I’ve worked on many freelance projects spanning the full spectrum of digital creation—from Flash AS3 development in the Macromedia era to modern JavaScript, third-party integrations, illustration, logo, and branding. This breadth of experience across disciplines and decades has cultivated strong project management instincts and the ability to take full ownership of projects from concept to completion.

Design & Branding

Beyond creating a logo or putting together a colour palette, branding involves understanding the heart of an organization so that every element sings in harmony with each other. This process involves imagination, iteration, and connection. The impact is not only seen, it is felt on levels subtle and sublime.

Bhakti Fest 2025 was a one day festival in Gibsons, BC on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. A full day of programming including Kirtan, Yoga, Breathwork, and Conscious Dance. I was part of the organizing team that brought this festival to life, with a focus on design, branding, website, as well as coordinating behind the scenes operations. I also presented a 45 minute long set at the festival!

Leelapod

Leelapod is a platform to serve the needs of yoga teachers who want to bring their offering online. We share the cost of web services while building a community for teachers and students alike. I created a visual identity that allowed each teacher’s unique expression while keeping aligned as a collective.

Teaching & Facilitation

I never thought I would teach at the front of a room, let alone sing. Opening my voice has been a profound journey: outward on pilgrimage and retreat to India, and inward into the habits of myself and my ancestors—too often silenced. I open my voice, not through anger or frustration of not being heard, but through devotion to a cause (compassion, community) greater than myself.

My meandering life path has blessed me with meeting many different teachers and practices. I am a student of throat chakra practices, under the tutelage of Naad Yogi Gurnimit Singh.

All this to say, I am a fellow seeker of what it means to live this human life.

Yoga and Sound Meditation Teacher
2023 - Present

  • Teach regular classes guiding awareness of body and breath, with sound as meditation tool

  • Various Sound Journey events, where participants are invited into deeper awareness through receiving different sounds from instruments (e.g. Gong, chimes, harmonium) and sharing their own voices (humming and chanting mantra)

Bhakti Fest BC
2025

  • I presented an engaging set that wove together storytelling and kirtan, holding space for soulful remembrance of devotion through the ancient wisdom of Bhakti and chanting in community

Eclipse Yoga Retreat
2024

  • I co-led a yoga retreat with Sophie Grégoire at Bloom retreat centre in Ontario, Canada

  • The retreat centre was along the path of solar eclipse totality in spring 2024 and the retreat was timed for the viewing

  • All the participants were treated to a truly awesome viewing of a total solar eclipse

Leelapod, Online Yoga
2021

  • Taught online body awareness classes, live and pre-recorded

  • I gained valuable online facilitation experience through teaching these classes

A promotional flyer for David Choy emphasizing mindfulness, stillness, and strength, including black-and-white and color photos of outdoor activities, a person practicing yoga, and a sunset meditation scene, with descriptive text about healing and self-care.

Mindful Design Talk
2020

  • I wrote a talk that bridged mindfulness practice with UX design

  • The talk included elements of storytelling and design artifacts to convey concepts

  • I presented it 10 times to varying groups in the company, as well as at the annual company conference
